“Most people believe that “I love you” is the best thing you can say to anybody.
I have learned that “I love you too” has a greater impact on the human heart.
Anybody can get an “i love you” but not everyone get an “I love you too”.”—(via thoughtsonasunday) (via onesaturdayinseptember) (via funkylove)
“Some endings take a long time to reveal themselves. But when they do, they’re almost too easy to ignore. Some beginnings start so quietly, you don’t even notice they’re happening. But most endings come when you least expect them. And what they portend is darker than you’ve ever imagined. Not all beginnings are cause for celebration.-”—Gossip Girl (via daqueenbee)

“When we were little, life worked perfectly. No matter what happened, everything turned out alright in the end. Scraped knees, canceled play dates, dropped ice cream cones— we would cry for a short time, but by the end of the day, everything would be perfect. And now as we’ve grown older, we’ve lost the faith as we stumble through each day, crying over broken hearts, lost friendships, and lost dreams. It seems like life and perfection have turned their backs on us, but really its just that we’ve grown up. As children we didn’t pay attention to such details about our daily lives, but now we are more aware, and little details seem to be amplifying our pain. But just remember that when we were younger, life was hard too, but we had faith in perfection because we could look past faults. So don’t lose your faith. Learn to know that each day will pass, each heartache will be mended, and everything will be perfect in the end. Just keep your faith.”—Unknown (via littlemiss)
Write for yourself. Don’t worry about how other will people perceive your writing. They will see it differently to how you write it. They’ll take away whatever they want from it. So do it for yourself. If people understand your writing, and can take something away from it, then thats a bonus, and makes it worthwhile.
I want to harmonize with you and write music for days. Take my hand and paint our deepest desires on the ceiling. They fit so perfectly between these plastic glow-in-the-dark stars. Sing me your dreams and I’ll take it all in. You are beautiful and I cannot see past those ocean eyes. We could carry this somewhere; perhaps to an undiscovered galaxy or some far-off forest. Shed your skin and dance in the moonlight with me. Life is too short not to dance when we can. Love is too fleeting not to fall into.
160. STOP HAVING SET "QUALIFICATIONS" FOR A BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND. BEING A LOVER IS NOT A FUCKING JOB, AND YOU’RE NOT HIRING A FUCKING EMPLOYEE. AND YES, THEY WILL MAKE MISTAKES. YES, THEY WILL BE DIFFERENT FROM WHAT YOU EXPECTED. THEY'RE HUMAN, AND THEY HAVE NO FUCKING CLUE WHAT THEY'RE DOING. BUT THEY LOVE YOU, AND THEY LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF YOU. SO PLEASE, GIVE THEM A CHANCE.
“My heartbeat was louder than the sound of my steps to your door. You’re cold, but you’re beautiful. You’re a mess, but I like it that way. If you’re always looking for reasons not to be with someone, then you find them. But at some point you just have to let go, and give your heart what it deserves.”—One Tree Hill
“You know that feeling? When you’re seeing your favourite band for the first time in your life and you’re waiting, drenched in anticipation. You’re surrounded by at least five hundred other people and when the first chord hits the air and the lights are low, everyone screams. It’s the sound of five hundred hearts, all different but together. You’re all singing along to the same song. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from, what you’ve done and what you can or can’t do. What matters is that for that fraction of time, is that you all belong somewhere. You don’t feel lost, you feel alive for the first time in a long time and that’s the best feeling in the world.”—(via expose) (via spunkfairy) (via starsnatcher)
“I used to think when I got older, the world would make so much more sense. But you know what? The older I get, the more confusing it is to me. The more complicated it is to me. You’d think we’d get better at it.”—Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist (via littlemiss)
“When people can walk away from you, let them walk. Don’t try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring for you, coming to see you, or staying attached to you. When people can walk away, let them walk. Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left.”—(via littlemiss) (via lilstellabella) (via onesaturdayinseptember) (via funkylove)
“As doctors, we’re trained to be skeptical, because patients lie to us all the time. The rule is, every patient is a liar until proven honest. Lying is bad. Or so we are told constantly from birth. Honesty is the best policy, the truth shall set you free, I chopped down the cherry tree. Whatever. The fact is, lying is a necessity. We lie to ourselves because the truth… the truth freaking hurts.”—Grey’s Anatomy.
“I’ve heard that it’s possible to grow up, I’ve just never met anyone who’s actually done it. Without parents to defy, we break the rules we make for ourselves. We throw tantrums when things don’t go our way. We whisper secrets with our best friend, in the dark. We look for comfort where we can find it. And we hope against all logic, against all experience, like children, we never give up hope.”—
“Pain. You just have to ride it out. You can only hope it goes away on its own, hope the wound that caused it heals. There are no solutions, no easy answers, you just breath deep and wait for it to subside.”—Grey’s Anatomy
